  Anyone Tried "Sous Vide" Cooking?

  i like a nice steak but cooking one can be a little intimidating and the results hit and miss especially when it comes to getting the right temperature so getting it wrong can be an expensive mistake.

  can anyone do that "finger and thumb together to check the doneness" thing?

  i can't .... so i came across this cooking technique called "sous vide" which cooks food (in a sealed vacuum bag) in a warm water bath, even steak.

  This brings to mind the chapter in the my book of bible stories where the disciples tried to stop the children from "bothering" Jesus and Jesus rebuked them- trying to teach them the right way to view and treat children. Hello all the wt spies reading these posts...and the PIMI ones on the fence...doesn't the example of Jesus and how he feels about children matter to you??? The organization you worship is not demonstrating the love they profess to have.

  Thank you! A lot of great points here. My PIMI family tries to blame Satan for everything, when it's usually bad choices. I have seen a lot that leave, immediately make some bad love choices, usually being with either with a partner that has traits of their more dominant parent or traits of high control.

  Also the org had (have) fixers, brothers who would go to the family of the abused and pay them off to keep quiet. Then these assholes would talk about how low the family could be bought off for. Any lurkers reading this- does this sound like the true religion to you??? Doesn't it bother you that your donations go to this type of rediculous behavior?

  Thank you for this excellent post. I did not suffer sexual abuse in the cult but am extremely outraged at the way these false prophets are spinning their fake care and concern. I am imagining how unsettling it will be for an abuse victim who goes to a meeting during these articles and wasn't aware ahead of time this will be discussed. I was wondering if these mature Christian sisters will be counting their time as they comfort...( eye roll) Being remotely involved in this as a sister (gasp) seems so far from the whole wt way, this itself should be confusing to those sheep still asleep at the meeting. But as you brought up- they will be so eager to find out the gossip, what a cold dreadful place I am so happy to be free of the obligation to go to!

  the may 2019 wt has defiantly and arrogantly been released by the gb, and it is full of their disgusting excuses for not complying with authorities!.

  The manipulation in these articles is disgusting. I don't think I could sit thru these lessons at the KH. It made my blood boil just to skim read them. Those of us that know the real story of how the GB has been handling this child abuse scurge are just enraged by how boldly they are out right lying to the sheep!

  today is 4th of july in my part of the world- the us- and i was reflecting how we were strongly encouraged when we were still in to go out in the ministry on holidays.

  i just mentioned this memory to my husband and we reflected on how cult like this was.

  anyone else have thoughts on this?

  As I watched the matrix series I meditated on if I'm better off with the red or blue pill... Well mentally I am so much better knowing the truth about the truth. The longer you are away from the cult you realize how much better you are without it- and I have never missed it-- years later. Slowly letting go of the fear obligation and guilt has been so freeing. Living every day in the present is wonderful! Cheers to all of you for being smart enough to get OUT!!

  there are many newcomers who may see references on this website to barbara anderson but not understand the complete awesomeness of what she has done, and continues to do, in the pursuit of truth.. for those who don't know, a brief summary: barbara and her husband joe spent most of their lifetime being uber-witnesses, bringing 80 or so people into the organization and ending up at brooklyn bethel.
